Location: 180km from Manaus, on the Rio Negro banks, across from Anavilhanas National Park (UNESCO Heritage Site)

Great news: The Rio Negro's acidic water means practically NO mosquitoes at the lodge! Only bring repellent for forest trail hikes.

The Daily Rhythm

Morning (Guided Activity #1)

Your first activity of the day when energy is highest. Could be a canoe trip, forest hike, or dolphin spotting.

Midday (Lunch + Rest)

Return to the lodge for lunch, then mandatory quiet time. Nap, swim in the pool, or relax in a hammock.

Late Afternoon (Guided Activity #2)

Second activity of the day—often gentler. Sunset boat ride, community visit, or piranha fishing.

Evening (Dinner + Night Activity)

Dinner at the lodge, then optional night tour to spot caimans, sloths, and nocturnal wildlife.

Your daily schedule is prepared by the lodge based on weather, water levels, and your family's needs. Activities include:

Anavilhanas Archipelago Tour Explore one of the world's largest river archipelagos. Pink and grey dolphins often appear!
Canoe Through Flooded Forest Paddle through the igapós (flooded forest) in wooden canoes—magical reflections everywhere.
Piranha Fishing Learn from local fishermen. Catch and release—toddlers love the excitement!
Night Tours Spot caimans, sloths, birds, and alligators under the stars.
Sunrise Contemplation Early morning boat ride to watch the forest wake up.
Forest Hiking Learn about vegetation, medicinal plants, and survival skills.
Visit Local Communities Meet riverside families, learn about fishing and handicrafts.
Regional Boat Expedition Full day on the Rio Negro with hammocks and grilled fish lunch.

What to Pack for the Lodge

  • Essential: Trekking pants and closed shoes (for forest trails)
  • Essential: Swimsuits (pools, river, and water activities daily)
  • Light, comfortable clothing (beach resort style)
  • Flip-flops or easy-wear shoes
  • Hat or cap + sunscreen
  • Windbreaker or light raincoat
  • Repellent (for trail hikes only—not needed at lodge)
  • Camera and binoculars
  • Any prescription medications (pharmacy not available)
Note: The lodge provides refillable water bottles on arrival. No need to pack one.

May is the transition season ("winter") with:
