Overview

Theme: Arrival + First Taste of the Jungle

Today you transfer from Manaus to Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge on the Rio Negro. The drive is about 3 hours on a paved road, with one bathroom stop along the way. You'll arrive with time to settle in before your first afternoon activity.

Transfer Details

Pickup: ~8:00–8:30 AM from your Manaus hotel

Vehicle: Air-conditioned van (up to 12 passengers)

Duration: ~3 hours with one short bathroom stop

Route: Paved highway from Manaus to Novo Airão, then to the lodge on the Rio Negro

                Tip: Pack snacks and entertainment for the drive. The scenery gets more interesting as you approach the river!
            

Day 9 Schedule

~8:00 AM Lodge van picks you up from Manaus hotel

Mid-Morning Drive through the countryside, bathroom break

~11:00 AM Arrive at Anavilhanas, check in, room orientation

12:30 PM First lunch at the lodge

Afternoon Rest, explore the grounds, swim in the pool

Late PM First guided activity (sunset boat ride or similar)

Evening Dinner at the lodge, receive activity schedule for your stay

First Day Tips

The lodge will give you your personalized activity schedule at check-in
Take the afternoon to explore—there are pools, hammocks, and a floating deck
Good news: minimal mosquitoes at the lodge (Rio Negro's acidic water!)
The sunset activity is gentle and perfect for your first evening
Hydrate! The humidity is intense even if temperatures feel comfortable

                Reminder: Beverages (including water and soft drinks) are charged separately at the lodge. The filtered water stations are free to use with your provided bottle.
